According to media reports journalist Namal Perera and one of his “friends” from the British HC was apparently attacked and according to some reports attempted to be kidnapped.
For one thing I only believe half of it, simply because Sri Lankan journalists exaggerate. And a lot at that.
If anything the only thing the government and the opposition are good at is exaggeration. Another thing is that there are no independent journalists in Sri Lanka. If the UNP were on power and this attacked happened it would be a completely different set of people shouting
